Beginners 3

We run a 10 week part-time beginners 3 Dutch course every term at our school in Oxford for those who have attended the equivalent of about 20 hours of Dutch lessons.

This course includes travel and travel accessories, holidays, hobbies and spare time, going out, theatres and shows, films and music. Also included are writing letters, comparatives, superlatives, diminutive, the simple past tense, the past perfect tense, the past tense of the verbs 'hebben' and 'zijn', and the future tense.

This course is for you if you plan to visit Belgium or the Netherlands, you need to use Dutch at work, you want to talk to Dutch family or friends, or you have an interest in the Dutch language or the Dutch and Flemish cultures.

Classes are kept to a maximum of 9 students.

Summer 2008 Courses:

First lesson Wednesday 23 April 2008 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
30-Apr, 7-May, 14-May, 21-May, 4-Jun, 11-Jun, 18-Jun, 25-Jun, and 2-Jul.

 

    
 

First lesson Thursday 24 April 2008 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
1-May, 8-May, 15-May, 22-May, 5-Jun, 12-Jun, 19-Jun, 26-Jun, and 3-Jul.

 

    
Autumn 2008 Course:

First lesson Monday 22 September 2008 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
29-Sep, 6-Oct, 13-Oct, 20-Oct, 3-Nov, 10-Nov, 17-Nov, 24-Nov, and 1-Dec.

 

    
Spring 2009 Course:

First lesson Thursday 15 January 2009 (6.45pm to 7.45pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
22-Jan, 29-Jan, 5-Feb, 12-Feb, 26-Feb, 5-Mar, 12-Mar, 19-Mar, and 26-Mar.

 

    
Summer 2009 Course:

First lesson Thursday 23 April 2009 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
30-Apr, 7-May, 14-May, 21-May, 4-Jun, 11-Jun, 18-Jun, 25-Jun, and 2-Jul.

 

    

In addition to the lessons you will be given 30 to 60 minutes of homework to complete between lessons.

What you will need before starting this course:
• A beginners level in Dutch equivalent to about 10 to 15 hours of Dutch lessons.

If you cannot make one of the dates, don't worry, your teacher will give you all the course material from the missed lesson so that you can catch up. You may also book additional private tuition with your teacher at any time.
