Beginners 2 (evening class)

We run a 10 week part-time beginners 2 Dutch course every term at our school in Oxford for those who have attended the equivalent of about 10 hours of Dutch lessons.

This course includes shopping, clothes, asking directions, the weather, colours, the library, banks, and the post office. Also included are pronouns, modal verbs, word order, time, and negation.

This course is for you if you plan to visit Belgium or the Netherlands, you need to use Dutch at work, you want to talk to Dutch family or friends, or you have an interest in the Dutch language or the Dutch and Flemish cultures.

Classes are kept to a maximum of 7 students.

Course dates:

Autumn 2011 Course:

Curently no lesson is planned for this term but do contact us if you think this is your level as it may be possible to run an extra class.
Spring 2012 Course:

First lesson Tuesday 10 January 2012 (6.45pm to 7.45pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
17-Jan, 24-Jan, 31-Jan, 7-Feb, 21-Feb, 28-Feb, 6-Mar, 13-Mar, and 20-Mar.
Extra Class:

First lesson Wedesday 11 January 2012 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
18-Jan, 25-Jan, 1-Feb, 8-Feb, 22-Feb, 29-Feb, 7-Mar, 14-Mar, and 21-Mar.
Summer 2012 Course:

First lesson Monday 16 April 2012 (6.45pm to 7.45pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
23-Apr, 30-Apr, 14-May, 21-May, 28-May, 11-Jun, 18-Jun, and 25-Jun.

Important! Please note that this course has only 9 lessons. The first 7 lessons will be 60 minutes (6.45pm to 7.45pm) and the lessons on 18-Jun and 25-Jun will be 90 minutes (6.45pm to 8.15pm).

In addition to the lessons you will be given 30 to 60 minutes of homework to complete between lessons.

What you will need before starting this course:
• A beginners level in Dutch equivalent to about 10 to 15 hours of Dutch lessons.

If you cannot make one of the dates, don't worry, your teacher will give you all the course material from the missed lesson so that you can catch up. You may also book additional private tuition with your teacher at any time.
