Beginners 2

We run a 10 week part-time beginners 2 Dutch course every term at our school in Oxford for those who have attended the equivalent of about 10 hours of Dutch lessons.

This course includes shopping, clothes, asking directions, the weather, colours, the library, banks, and the post office. Also included are pronouns, adjectives, time, and negation.

This course is for you if you plan to visit Belgium or the Netherlands, you need to use Dutch at work, you want to talk to Dutch family or friends, or you have an interest in the Dutch language or the Dutch and Flemish cultures.

Classes are kept to a maximum of 9 students.

Course dates:

Summer 2008 Course:

First lesson Monday 21 April 2008 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
28-Apr, 12-May, 19-May, 2-Jun, 16-Jun, 23-Jun, 30-Jun, 7-Jul, and 14 Jul.

 

    
Autumn 2008 Course:

First lesson Thursday 25 September 2008 (6.45pm to 7.45pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
2-Oct, 9-Oct, 16-Oct, 23-Oct, 6-Nov, 13-Nov, 20-Nov, 27-Nov, and 4-Dec.

 

    
Spring 2009 Course:

First lessonThursday 15 January 2009 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
22-Jan, 29-Jan, 5-Feb, 12-Feb, 26-Feb, 5-Mar, 12-Mar, 19-Mar, and 26-Mar.

 

    
Summer 2009 Course: First lesson Monday 20 April 2009 (6.45pm to 7.45pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
27-Apr, 11-May, 18-May, 1-Jun, 8-Jun, 15-Jun, 22-Jun, 29-Jul, and 6-Jul.		    

In addition to the lessons you will be given 30 to 60 minutes of homework to complete between lessons.

What you will need before starting this course:
• A beginners level in Dutch equivalent to about 10 to 15 hours of Dutch lessons.

If you cannot make one of the dates, don't worry, your teacher will give you all the course material from the missed lesson so that you can catch up. You may also book additional private tuition with your teacher at any time.
