Beginners 1 (evening class)

We run 10 week part-time beginners 1 Dutch courses every term at our school in Oxford for complete beginners.

This course include pronunciation, introducing yourself, meeting people, family and friends, eating and drinking, and work.

Also covered are numbers, weights and measures, countries and nationalities, the present tense of verbs, articles, plurals, prepositions, and asking questions.

This course is for those who plan to visit Belgium or the Netherlands, who need to use Dutch at work, who want to talk to Dutch family or friends, or who have an interest in the Dutch language or the Dutch and Flemish cultures.

Classes are kept to a maximum of 7 students.

Course Dates

Autumn 2012 Course:

First lesson Monday 24 September 2012 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
1-Oct, 8-Oct, 15-Oct, 22-Oct, 5-Nov, 12-Nov, 19-Nov, 26-Nov, and 3-Dec.
 
Spring 2013 Course:

First lesson Tuesday 8 January 2013 (8pm to 9pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
15-Jan, 22-Jan, 29-Jan, 5-Feb, 19-Feb, 26-Feb, 5-Mar, 12-Mar, and 19-Mar.
 
Summer 2013 Course:

First lesson Thursday 18 April 2013 (6.45pm to 7.45pm).
Following lessons at the same time on:
25-Apr, 2-May, 9-May, 16-May, 23-May, 6-Jun, 13-Jun, 20-Jun, and 27-Jun.
 

In addition to the lessons you will be given about 30 minutes of homework to complete between lessons. This will include written exercises, online tests and online pronunciation practice exercises.

If you cannot make one of the dates, don't worry, your teacher will give you all the course material from the missed lesson so that you can catch up. You may also book additional private tuition with your teacher at any time.
